One advantage of using probes, even if you're not in a worm hole, is that if you can find some exploration sites that gives you more stuff to warp to. If I'm going somewhere to scout it out and make some bookmarks, I like to do that in a scout with a cloak (and probes if I'm going into a worm hole). you can't just sit there anyway if they're scanning/probing for you. I try to warp across the biggest distances I can so that I'll be as far from any celestials as possible with the actual safe spots - as opposed to the prep bookmarks I drop between celestials. I just start out warping to celestials and dropping bookmarks in between them - then warp between the bookmarks dropping more in between them. But I have made them on the fly when people were after me. the best thing is to have the book marks already made. Might want to try and warp in on the celestial at some odd distance though in case someone is waiting. I usually make my bookmarks while I'm in the system map - that way I can see right where they are going to be in relationship to the system, and can easily right click on the celestials and warp to them. You could just hit the space bar and a number. One of your biggest problems is going to be labeling them and then remembering where they are. I mean you're doing it while you're warping from one place to the next so there's not much else you can do anyway. Using external applications to control the EVE client is strictly forbidden. You may wish to consult the EULA, specifically section 7.3 again. If there isnt a shortcut to create 1, would the community frown on an external hotkey as a viable workaround? Keep in mind that with server-client communication delay the bookmark may be created 1-2 seconds after you click. You can open the Create Bookmark window ahead of time, change the bookmark's name and move the window somewhere more convenient before warping, then just click at the spot you want the bookmark at. The bookmark is created at the place you are when you click in the Create Bookmark window, not when you click in People and Places.

It takes up screen space, and I find it inefficient. Whenever I'm making safespots I hate having to open the people and places then clicking add bookmark button. Is there a shortcut for quickly placing a bookmark in space?
